That Time of the Year!!!
Seems right around this time of the year (every year) the 'sickness' finds it's way into our home. This year it's extra special and the timing is impecable. You see, about a week ago I started feeling a little fluish, sore throat, stuffed up a little feverish, the normal stuff. I tried to ignore it but in doing so was kind enough to pass it along to Jenn. It hit Jenn pretty hard and she got checked out by a Doc. Turns out, it is strep throat! Now she's on antibiotics and had to stay away from work. So yesterday morning, we wake up and Parker is getting changed into his clothes and we notice these lovely little dots all over his torso and limbs. Parker and I then go to the walk in clinic to confirm that he does in fact have chicken pox and I am swabbed for strep.
It is amazing how well a young child can do in times of sickness, I guess it's because they don't know much better and see the positives much easier than grown ups do.
Anyway, I have wrapped "Quarantined" tape around the house and our family will be wearing pj's all day and playing games.
So here is wishing every one of you good health and if you too have fell ill, a speedy recovery to you.

Poor family... I totally feel for you. Since Calli started pre-school, she, and in turn, we, have all fallen ill almost every month! I'm trying to juice up our immune systems and I think we are on our way to better health, but what a way to knock the crap out of a person.
Good luck to Parker and his chickenpox. I tried exposing Calli to them a few years ago, but she was too immune-tough and didn't end up with them.
I'd bring you all some nice tea and a big hug if I was there! xxoo JL

Bummer. Guess the good news is you all have it at once so you don't repeatedly give it back to each other. Hmmmmm.....wonder if playstation is getting a workout.
