If a tree falls in the forest.....you had better get out of the way.

Blog-o-Mania

As per the 'forests' theme that my life has moved towards and the wonderfully witty blog address, I thought I would share a few relevant photos that I have snapped over the last couple of years. But first, my friend Jeremy has requested that I write down something motivational, something that will help inspire him to reach new heights. So here it is;

"The path we travel is laden with peaks and valleys. The secret is to not dwell upon the depth of the canyon, nor the steepness of the ascent, but to reflect upon the view from the top, once we arrive."

Now a couple pics..........

This is the view from our bedroom window..........well maybe not quite. This is my first attempt at oil painting......Bob Ross 101. Currently working on another painting.

This is the view from the deck of a cabin that I stayed in at Nimpo Lake when I was involved in the forest fires in 2004.

This is what a water bomber looks like 150 ft over your head!!!!! It was awesome!

This is a front paw of a good size grizzly bear that was in the area while I was out working in the woods. The yellow field book is around 20cm long.

This was the scat just up the road from the paw prints.....those rulers are 15cm each! Anything that shits that big deserves respect.

All for now...take care and blog you later.

Oh yes, oh yes!

Bean.......nice work, thanks for sparking my interest, i like the pics. To my friend Jeremy....welcome, I look forward to your postings. Ali, 'the self proclaimed bandwagon' Getz.......go somewhere HOT...you'll love it. Trevor...set up an account and you are in.
Here is the random picture of the day.

This is my pretty little niece Jorja, in this picture she is probably busy calculating the average speed of the wind up robot based on the gravitational pull of the earth's magnetic field against the friction loss displacement of the feet.

This tough girl has recently fell off her slide and now has a greenstick fracture in her arm...which is kind of a bummer as her birthday party is coming up this weekend. Eat lots of cake Jorja..it will ease the pain.

Catch you later.

I am catching up with the world.

Hello to friends and family,
This first entry is primarily experimental, but I thought this sounded like a cool idea and a good way to share a little bit of my life with you. If more people would hop on board it would add an interesting element of staying current with peoples lives that seem to go by faster and faster. I know I would find it interesting to read about your thoughts and ideas as well as see photos.
Here is a picture of a recent vacation that my beautiful lady Jenn and I got to go on just before Xmas. To help explain how relaxed I was, when this photo was taken, it seemed like a lot of work to pick up the camera and take the shot. I managed though and made sure I laid back down to return to my relaxed state.

So join up will you, it'll only work if you participate and share your thoughts.

Take care....will post again soon.
